10 THINGS MOMS SHOULD NEVER FEEL BAD ABOUT DOING

10 THINGS MOMS SHOULD NEVER FEEL BAD ABOUT DOING

Being a mother is one of the hardest jobs in the world and unfortunately, it’s one of those jobs where you don’t have paid lunches or scheduled breaks throughout the day. As a mom, it can be so easy to let feelings of mom guilt absorb you but it’s important to do some things for yourself and by yourself that will help with those feelings. It’s a job where you’re wearing a million hats, you don’t have just one job title. So why do we feel bad when it comes to doing things for us? Here’s a few things we think you should never feel bad about doing as a mom – and we mean it!

01. TAKING A BREATHER:
Know that you can step away to take a deep breath when you need to.

Don’t feel bad about taking those few seconds to get yourself grounded.

02. ASKING FOR HELP:
If you’re struggling, know when to ask for help. It’s never something to

be ashamed of, it’s something to be praised. It takes an amazing mom to know when help is needed.

03. CHOOSING THE BEST WAY TO FEED YOUR BABY:
Breastfeeding vs formula can seem like such a big debate, but it shouldn’t be. As their mom, you know what’s best. You should never feel bad about how you feed your baby.

04. HAVING A JOB:

Some moms stay home and some moms work – and they’re all doing a great job!

Don’t ever feel bad about wanting to do something for you and your family by having a job.

05. RELAX INSTEAD OF CLEANING THE HOUSE OR DOING CHORES:
We all know baby naps are so inconsistent so sometimes it might feel like you need to get something done every time they’re down for sleep.

Don’t feel bad if you want to catch up on that reality show or eat that bag of chips in silence instead of washing the dishes. Enjoy it!

06. LETTING YOUR BABY CO-SLEEP:
Is your baby a contact napper? They can’t sleep unless they’re touching you? It can be a

lot to deal with, but you should never feel bad about it! As moms, we’re rested when our babies are rested so whatever you need to do to get there – do it!

07. LETTING YOUR CHILD HAVE SCREEN TIME:
There are so many educational resources out there that can help in your children’s

development – so never feel bad about throwing on the occasional tv show to help you get something done! Embrace it!

08. DECIDE TO NOT HAVE ANY MORE KIDS:
For some reason, once you’ve had a child the public loves to ask when you’re having your next one. It’s okay to say: never!

Don’t feel bad about planning your life the way you want to plan it.

09. HAVE A DATE DAY:
If you’re lucky to have loved ones around to help, use that to your advantage!

Don’t feel bad about stepping out for the day kid-less and enjoying yourself with or without your partner.

10. FEELING ANNOYED BY YOUR KIDS:

Does this make you a bad mom?

No! Never!

Every good mom gets annoyed by their kids sometimes – never feel bad about it.

Moms and parents are superheroes that are quite often not recognized for their superpowers and that can be hard to handle sometimes. Mom guilt is real and can pop up when you least expect it, so it’s important to read this list over and over again to know that sometimes we need to do things that requires us to step away for a second. No mom is perfect – we’re all just trying our best and doing what’s best for our children, day after day.
